While my husband and my son went to the city (Sydney) for the annual Parade, in memory of the thousands soldiers who gave their lives for the safety of Australia and our allies, since 1915 and until our days, I stayed home (I was not very well) and watched the today’s memorable event on T.V.
I really believe that this particular event is of a great importance for every Australian. Our beautiful country and the equally beautiful people who call themselves Australians, are known for their bravery and generocity towards their own people and their allies. Australians are always ready to do their best for the safety of their country and the rest of the civilised World!
The parade lasted for, at least, three hours and the massess of the people participating (according to ABC statements) were at least two hundred thousands. Their enthusiasm and their written comments, such as “thank you”, were indeed very touching… “Lest” we forget!
